Life changes - sometimes slowly, like the imperceptible changes of a sapling as it matures slowly into a giant oak; other times quickly, like flooding rains.

The hardest changes though, are those that happen without our knowing - until one day we wake up to the abrupt realisation that the scenery is no longer familiar, and everything we knew is no longer safe and secure.

Sometimes the hardest decisions are made for you.

I moved back to Brisbane in November. There have been a great many things about myself which I have denied existence, too many parts of me put away for safe-keeping. I am slowly learning to acknowlege those parts i wish to keep, and to cast off the security of those parts I no longer need.

There are those of you whom i owe apologies. My own self interest has jeopardised our friendship, and i sincerely hope reparations can be made.
